This Privacy Policy explains how Jem Wagner ("Jem", "we", "us") collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information, including credit-related information, and how you can access it, correct it, or make a complaint. Jem Wagner is a credit representative (Credit Representative Number 578818) of VOW Financial Pty Ltd, Australian Credit Licence 390261, and works with Let's Finance.

We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and, where relevant, the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.

What we collect

Depending on how you engage with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, phone number, email address, residential address and date of birth.
  • Financial information — income, employment details, assets, liabilities, living expenses and details of your financial goals.
  • Credit information — repayment history, credit applications and reports obtained from credit reporting bodies, where you have authorised this.
  • Identification documents — such as your driver's licence or passport, where required to verify your identity under anti-money-laundering laws.
  • Website data — information submitted through our enquiry form, and general analytics data about how the site is used.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you — through the enquiry form on this website, by phone, email, or in meetings. With your consent, we may also collect information from third parties such as your employer, accountant, lenders, credit reporting bodies and other service providers involved in your application.

Why we collect it

We collect, hold and use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and assess your borrowing position;
  • assist you to apply for credit and act on your behalf with lenders;
  • verify your identity and comply with our legal obligations, including responsible lending obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth);
  • manage our relationship with you, including keeping you informed about the progress of your application; and
  • with your consent, let you know about products, services or offers that may be relevant to you. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Who we share it with

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • VOW Financial Pty Ltd, as the licensee we act under, and its related bodies corporate;
  • Let's Finance and its related entities within the Scott Park Group;
  • lenders, lenders mortgage insurers and other credit providers considered for your application;
  • credit reporting bodies, where authorised;
  • service providers who support our business, such as loan processing, IT, document storage and compliance services; and
  • anyone else you authorise us to share it with, such as your solicitor, conveyancer or accountant.

We do not sell your personal information. Some service providers may store data on servers located overseas; where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is held in secure, access-controlled systems. We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

Website analytics, cookies and advertising

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve the performance of our advertising. This includes tracking tools (often called pixels or tags) from third-party advertising platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and OpenAI (ChatGPT).
